Flavio Galhardo
Lead, Global Innovation, Bunge Limited
Galhardo manages business initiatives with strong technology components for Bunge’s Global Innovation group. He has responsibility for identifying and developing a portfolio of collaborations, alliances, joint ventures and/or acquisitions that support Bunge’s long term growth strategy. Gallardo’s career spans over 25 years in Operations, R&D and New Business Development in Agribusiness and Food Products.
Flavio joined Bunge in 1985 as process engineer in the Sao Paulo, Brazil food product plant. He developed his career in R&D and Operations, ultimately managing Bunge’s Consumer Products Value Chain for the Margarine, Mayonnaise and Shortening businesses. In 2003, Galhardo helped found the nucleus of the current Bunge Global Innovation group. Over the past 7 years, he has developed alliances with biotech companies, particularly in the field of green processing and is currently based in New York.
Flavio obtained his Chemical Engineering Degree from Universidade de São Paulo, Brazil and an MBA from FIA Business School, São Paulo, Brazil.
