Dominic Hofstetter

 

2010-05 Chicago Dominic Hofstetter brings a diverse set of experiences in financial management and business development to his primary role as VP of Business Development, Electrochaea and is leading the company’s European business  development efforts.  He joined Electrochaea from the London office of Hudson Clean Energy Partners, a leading cleantech private equity firm. Prior to Hudson, he consulted with two leading European cleantech venture capital firms and conducted research in a broad range of cleantech topics, including solar-thermochemical fuels, electric vehicles, and biochar. In 2010, he conducted the first techno-economic analysis of Electrochaea’s electrobiological methanogenesis process. Dominic started his career at Credit Suisse, a leading global financial services company, where he worked for more than nine years in multiple roles, most recently in business development. A citizen of Switzerland, he speaks English, German and French. Dominic received a B.S. in Accounting and Finance from the University of Applied Sciences Zurich, an MBA with concentrations in Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and an MSc in Environmental Change and Management from the University of Oxford.
